WAGON WHEELS
We walked along the trail. It led up a hill.
On the side of the hill we saw a little house with a garden in front.
We could see corn growing. A man came out of the house.
When he saw us, he began to run toward us. (p.58,59)
In this story, three boys tried to live with them efforts to live with their daddy. They have grown up by many serious happenings especially Little Brother. When the brothers leave the town of Nicodemus, Little Brother decided to go to his home not by wagon but on foot. Finally, they could meet their father and get happy ending. I was impressed by this story. This is a heartwarming book.
It moved me that "not by wagon but on foot."
